i love these very early rough sketches of woody

woodpecker so much. it would've been an honor

to meet the artist. i particularly like the early

forties version of woody. it always amazes me to

see how much a cartoon character can change so

dramatically over the years. he first starred in a

short appropriately and simply titled "woody woodpecker".

his final theatrical short was titled "bye bye blackboard".

the name almost seems fitting, as it was bye bye for woody.

funniest video game commercial ever!

16 bit heaven!!!!

well, i recently went to a big yard sale event, or something like that, and i felt it was going to be almost impossible to find anything having to do with 16 bit consoles, until, at the last yard sale we stopped at.... i struck gamers gold. i saw a n64, a intellivision, a gamecube, and a game gear (complete with set of games.) but the little beauty that caught my eye was the sega genesis with all the parts, the original box, papers, posters, and pamphlets, and ten games. i also nabbed some sweet games for another system.

august is finally HERE!

like the post describes already, august is here, folks. and that means the county fair is coming to, well, our county. and that also means TOTAL ADRENALINE!!!! i absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOOVE the rides! i love the elephant ears! i love the dirt and sweat on my legs! (well, i guess not about that last part....) but i still love the fair! i also hope you like my new profile picture of a certain cartoon salesman named wes weasley. i just LOVE that guy! (look up the name, he's awesome.) my brother is currently playing "dr. robotnik's mean bean machine". that's just plain annoying to me that even i can't beat scratch OR grounder. i mean how strategic are they anyways, huh?!? (look them up too, they are awesome also.) i can't even get past the green robot on level three! wow, i must really stink. getting off the subject for a moment here, i definitely think that two new words should be added into the dictionary. are you ready? number one: epicosity (something that's really epic.) number two: sotally (a combination of so and totally.) so? whaddaya think? cool, huh? there's actually a bit of a story behind the word "sotally". you see, i was trying to say so and totally at the same time, and it came out like "sotally". i liked it, so i kept the name. so there it is.

a great old early 1940's (i think) lobby card for "bugs bunny gets the boid". the lobby card is as great as the cartoon itself, in my opinion. i would really like to know who inked and designed this wonderful piece of memorabilia.

today's events

well, to start off with.... we went to a REALLY bad goodwill today, although i found a cute shirt there. and by really bad i mean ONE STINKIN' TY ANIMAL. yeah, you heard right. ONE ty. i passed it up though. on the bright side, we went to golden corral. mmmmm.... oh, and we also had better luck at another goodwill. the boys found a nintendo 64 and a sega genesis and some games to go with it. we found out luckily before we went ahead and bought it, that some parts were missing. but, i found a MWMT (mint with mint tags) spot the dog with a spot and binksy the rabbit. not a bad day, eh?
